About PAPAYA
What is PAPAYA Studio Bangkok?
PAPAYA Studio (PAPAYA Design Furniture & Studio) is Thailand’s largest vintage and antique furniture warehouse: four floors in Bang Khen, Bangkok, holding more than 100,000 pieces of furniture, lighting, decorative objects and antiques collected from around the world since 1981. Everything on the floor is for sale, and much of it can also be rented for film, television and photo productions.
Is PAPAYA a museum or a shop?
Both, in spirit. PAPAYA is often described as a museum where almost everything is for sale. Entry is free, no appointment is needed, and about half of our visitors on any given day come simply to walk the four floors and look. The difference from a museum: if you fall in love with something, you can take it home.
How many floors does PAPAYA have?
Four floors, all open to visitors, organised loosely by type: furniture, lighting, art, ceramics, collectibles and objects that fit no category at all.
What type of furniture does PAPAYA sell?
Vintage and mid-century furniture from Europe, Scandinavia, Japan, Thailand and beyond: armchairs, sofas, dining sets, sideboards, desks, lighting, mirrors, rugs, ceramics, art and thousands of smaller decorative pieces. Browse the current collection in the online shop.
