Mazes, hidden rooms, and no map
Culture Trip described what first-timers feel: several floors holding more than 100,000 trinkets and antiquities, arranged into mazes of shelves and hidden rooms where art deco chairs and typewriters share space with pinball machines and vintage cars. There is no efficient route through PAPAYA, and that is the point.
The detail most visitors miss
The guide also caught something sharp-eyed: not everything on display is waiting for a buyer. Some pieces are working props, rented out to film and television productions between their days on our floors.
