Some of the furniture in this building has had a more successful screen career than most actors. It leaves for a week, appears in a commercial or a period drama, and comes back to the same spot on the third floor like nothing happened.

Prop and furniture rental is the side of PAPAYA most visitors never see, and it works three ways.

Rental

Production designers, ad agencies, and event teams rent single pieces or entire room-sets — mid-century living rooms, old-Bangkok shophouse interiors, industrial workshops. Four floors of inventory means art departments can dress a set in one trip instead of six. Rental pricing depends on the piece and duration; bring your shot list and we’ll walk the floors with you.

Shooting on location

Sometimes it’s easier to bring the camera to the furniture. The building doubles as a shooting location and in-house studio — layered, textured backdrops that would take a set builder weeks to fake. Fashion editorials and music videos shoot here regularly. This is also why we ask commercial shoots to book ahead rather than just showing up with a crew: walk-in visitors with phones are always welcome, ten people with cinema lights need a slot.

Supplying interiors that stay

The third stream is permanent: cafés, bars, hotels, and design studios in Thailand and China buy from the floor to furnish spaces that need to feel collected rather than decorated. A room furnished with pieces that each had a previous life reads differently from a room furnished in one afternoon from a catalog — guests can’t always say why, but they feel it.
